After lots of speculation and numerous rumors, it has been confirmed that Mariah Carey has been crowned American Idol judge.

TV Guide confirmed today via Twitter that the decision was confirmed to bring Mariah on for the next season of Idol.

I don’t know about you guys, but this is starting to get very interesting. Although I would have loved to see Toni Braxton take the seat, it is going to be pretty awesome to see Mariah and Randy teaming up once again.

With just one more spot to fill, I can’t help but feel anxious about who the incredible Steven Tyler is being replaced with. There are so many different candidates that come to mind it is really hard to pin point just one.

…I wonder just how much it is going to cost idol to bring in a diva such as Mariah Carey.
