Adele forced to lose weight
Adele had to cancel her North American Tour due to Laryngitis, but supposedly that was not the issue at all! Star Magazine is reporting that it is her confidence! The source says an executive from her label told her that she needed to lose weight shortly after arriving to LA in May. This left the Billboard chart topper devastated.
“The pressure on Adele…has been immense,” says the source. “She was sitting in her hotel room in Santa Monica on her own, crying.”
Adele is only 23 years old but suffers from panic attacks due to performing in front of large crowds. Now with a low blow from her label telling her she needs to lose weight has only made her even more uncomfortable. The source is also reporting to “Star Magazine that “Adele sees herself as just a normal girl from London, and she felt bullied and like a fish out of water in L.A. She just wanted to go home.”
This saddens me because Adele recently stated in Rolling Stones Magazine that:
“My life is full of drama and I won’t have time to worry about something as petty as what I look like. I don’t like going to the gym.”
“I like eating fine foods and drinking nice wine. Even if I had a really good figure, I don’t think I’d get my t**s and a** out for no one.”
“I love seeing Lady Gaga’s boobs and bum. I love seeing Katy Perry’s boobs and bum. Love it. But that’s not what my music is about. I don’t make music for eyes, I make music for ears.”
If this “Source” is leaking accurate information her label should really leave Adele alone. Adele is correct when she says “I make music for EARS!” When its time and I’m sure she will know if its right for her, she will lose the weight. Jennifer Hudson did it and I’m sure one day Adele may do the same, but please do not ruin one of the few precious voice gems that are out there.
The good news is that www.adele.tv has released a statement saying: “We are very pleased to announce Adele’s rescheduled North American tour dates along with some newly added shows. Thank you for your patience over the last few weeks whilst we confirmed these dates. We look forward to seeing you at the shows.”
So… over weight or not Adele will still bring the house to tears with her beautiful voice in her North American Tour. What are your thoughts on Adele being forced to lose weight?

Adele is a beautiful, intelligent, SEXY woman and it is so refreshing to see a female succeed in the music industry without having to behave like a porn star. She has succeeded in spite of a society that says she shouldn’t because she doesn’t “look” the part. Her talent speaks for itself and her dress size has absolutely no bearing on her ability to sing or who she is as a person or an artist. Why are there so many pigs out there mistakenly believing that physical appearance determines your worthiness in society? Looking like a supermodel doesn’t automatically qualify you as a decent human being. When did everyone become more concerned with “appearing to be”, rather than making the effort to “actually be” healthy and attractive?

What saddens me even more is that fact that what was used to be said as a way to drive Americans to lose more weight is now being used by those who need to lose weight as a cop out. Medics hate carrying you out of your houses on ANYTHING just because your heart stopped because your blood is as thick as butter. The men who defend this great country had to wake up at 4 am for 3 months to get there asses kicked by a drill instructor just so they can DIE for us and you’re telling me that you can’t even be BOTHERED to hit a treadmill 3 times a week? If this is true, this is absolutely ridiculous! I just bought the cosmo issue with Adele on the cover. I was so ecstatic to see a woman with curves on the cover! This is what women look like today. With obesity being a huge issue in our country, I think that curvy women need to be more accepted in the spotlight. We are the mass majority, this is who we are! We should be proud of our gorgeous curves if you don’t like it then don’t look at it. Adele is absolutely gorgeous and has the voice of a god.

She is one of those rare people who look gorgeous at any weight… There is something perfect about her face. If she loses weight, I hope that it’s her decision and for good reason. She sounds like an angel, and there’s no surprise that she looks like one too.

I am completely disgusted with the fact that Adele is pressured to be thin. She is a brilliant musician and she’s right, she’s making music for EARS, not eyes. Those who mainly make music for eyes, showing boobs and ass, usually have little to no talent when they’re going into the industry. Adele is beautiful just the way she is. If people don’t like her, just don’t look at her.
She doesn’t have to be skinny. As long as she is HEALTHY, that’s all that matters. Being super skinny is not as attractive as being curvy anyways, but than again it depends on peoples tastes…
